Description
The Athera is cut from soft blush chiffon. Gentle draping gathers across the bodice and wraps the waist, meeting a hand-formed chiffon rose at the hip. Asymmetric ruffles cascade down the skirt in loose tiers, giving the gown movement and depth with every step. A matching short cape sits over the shoulders, finishing the silhouette with a light, weightless line.

Four things you would only notice in the room.
Chiffon capeCape- Cape
- A short chiffon cape falls over the shoulders and finishes in a soft scallop above the waist. It moves on its own, separate from the sleeve beneath it.
- Waist
- The chiffon is gathered by hand across the front and pulled to one hip, so the drape reads as a diagonal rather than a seam.
- Rose
- One rose, formed from a single length of chiffon and stitched closed at the back. No two sit exactly the same way.
- Cascade
- Three ruffle tiers, cut off-centre so they fall at different heights. This is what gives the skirt its movement when you walk.
The rose
Eleven petals, folded one at a time.
The rose at the hip is not appliqué and it is not bought in. It is one strip of the same chiffon the gown is cut from, rolled on the table, folded petal over petal, and stitched shut from behind so no thread shows at the front.
It takes about forty minutes. It is the last thing done to every gown before it is pressed.

We hold no stock. Your gown is cut for your size after the order is placed, which is why it takes 2–4 weeks and why it fits the way it does.
